Why I Wear My Wife’s Dress To Drive Passengers – Viral Ibadan Micra Driver

Afeez Adedigba, a driver from Ibadan, Oyo State, who recently went viral for wearing his wife’s dress while driving a popular Micra taxi, has shared the reasons behind his unconventional choice of attire.

In a viral video, Adedigba was seen donning his spouse’s dress, which he explained was due to his clothes being soaked by rain. With no other option available, he decided to wear the only dry clothing at hand—his wife’s dress.

During an interview with media personality Ayo Adams, Adedigba explained that his wife was aware of his decision. He shared, “This isn’t the only dress of hers that I have; there are about two. The first time I wore one, it was raining heavily, and all my clothes were drenched. Since I wanted to keep working that day, I had no choice but to wear her dress.”

He further explained that he now keeps the dress in his vehicle for rainy days, switching back to his own clothes once the rain stops.

Adedigba also clarified that rumors about him getting into a fight and having his clothes torn were false. He emphasized that his decision was purely practical and had nothing to do with any altercation.

The driver, who has been in the taxi business for years, revealed that he turned to driving after being unable to raise funds to start a tire sales business he had learned at a young age.

Adedigba also mentioned that he is married with four children, and his dedication to his work is driven by his desire to provide for his family.
