Veteran Musician Baba Fryo Accuses Nasboi of Stealing Lyrics

Veteran Nigerian musician Baba Fryo has accused up-and-coming artist Nasboi of copying lyrics from his famous song “Denge Pose.” In a video that’s gone viral, Baba Fryo expressed his frustration and demanded recognition and compensation for his work.

The issue arose after Nasboi released his new song “Short Skirt,” which Baba Fryo claims includes lyrics from his hit song. Fryo has warned Nasboi to contact him before he takes any further action.

Speaking in pidgin, Fryo said:

“Hello Nigerians. This has been going on for a while, and I’m not happy about it. But now I want to act.

“You see that song Nasboi made about ‘short skirt’? My lyrics ‘Dengo dey denge Denge’ are in it. Anyone who knows Nasboi should tell him to get in touch with me before things get worse.

“As you see me, I’m not happy, but this will be the last time someone uses my song without asking me. Please, tell him to reach out to me before I take action.”
