TG Omori Reveals Failed Kidney Transplant After Brother’s Donation

Award-winning cinematographer and music producer ThankGod Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, has opened up about experiencing a failed kidney transplant despite his brother’s selfless donation.

Omori shared this news on Wednesday, shortly after revealing he was going through a tough time and asking Nigerians to pray for him.

In a heartfelt message, Omori wrote, “One year after my kidney crashed, I just had a failed transplant at St Nicholas Hospital Lagos. Pray for me.”

The cinematographer also mentioned that he has already undergone three surgeries and believes he is not destined to die just yet.

Earlier, Omori had recounted how his brother donated a kidney to save his life, writing, “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again. Keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”

Omori, who has been out of the public eye for some time, shared a photo of himself on a hospital bed, visibly emotional while receiving oxygen.

His health struggles have been hinted at in previous cryptic tweets, with Omori asking for prayers and reflecting on his life.

Last month, he tweeted, “If I cross your mind, sometimes say a prayer for me. Poor marijuana, they blame you for all my rasclaat. You wanna eat, I wanna live.”

These revelations have sparked concern among netizens, who have been flooding social media with words of encouragement and prayers for Omori’s recovery.

One user, #Mr Ebony, tweeted, “The biggest sacrifices are from families, especially brothers. Quick recovery bruh.”

Another user, #Ikorodu President, expressed willingness to help, saying, “Ohh really, hadn’t you told me, I would have gladly given you one of mine so you can live.”

“Stay strong, wishing you a speedy recovery. Nothing go do you in Jesus’ name,” wrote #Honest30bgfan.

Others offered advice and support, like #Realtimmywrld, who said, “When they tell you to stop smoking, you guys won’t listen. Thank God for giving you a second chance.”

Winifred, another user, simply wished him well, tweeting, “Such a sweet soul he is. Wishing you a quick healing.”

TG Omori, also known as Boy Director, is a well-known name in the Nigerian music industry. Active since 2018, he has directed music videos for numerous artists, including Olamide, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tekno, Kizz Daniel, Fireboy DML, Falz, Naira Marley, Asake, and many others.
