DSS Secures Court Order to Freeze 20 Bank Accounts Linked to Suspected Female Terrorist
The Department of State Services (DSS) has obtained a Federal High Court order in Abuja to freeze 20 bank accounts linked to Aisha Abdulkarim, a woman suspected of involvement in terrorism.
These accounts, spread across eight different banks, will remain frozen for 60 days, allowing the DSS to conduct a thorough forensic investigation into the alleged terrorist activities associated with the account holder.
Justice Peter Lifu issued the freeze order after the DSS presented and argued an ex-parte application before the court.

Also implicated in the alleged terrorist activities are Yehusa Idris and Abdullahi Babayo Umar, who are currently in DSS custody.
The DSS emphasized that freezing the accounts was essential to ensuring unrestricted access during their investigation.
Although the DSS initially requested a 90-day freeze, the judge granted a 60-day period, urging the agency to carry out their investigation diligently and promptly.
