Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, asserted on Thursday that no one can accuse him of corruption during his time in public office.

Speaking at the 2024 Michael Okpara Leadership Lecture and Award held at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, the governor urged public office holders to live within their legitimate means and steer clear of corrupt practices.

He highlighted that the relentless pursuit of wealth, coupled with a lack of discipline, are key factors driving the widespread corruption in Nigeria.

In his lecture titled “Service Above Others: Lessons from the Leadership Philosophy of Michael Okpara,” Governor Uzodinma emphasized the importance of political leaders emulating the legacy of the late Premier of Eastern Nigeria to build a more prosperous nation.
