Kehinde Bankole Reveals the Only Condition for Accepting a Nude Role in Film
Nigerian actress Kehinde Bankole has opened up about the one condition under which she would agree to perform a nude role in a movie.
During a recent podcast appearance, Bankole was asked if she would ever consider taking on nude scenes in a film. In response, she explained that while she is open to such roles, she believes nudity and explicit scenes are not always necessary for telling a compelling story.
Bankole emphasized that such content should only be included if it genuinely enhances the narrative.
“As long as it’s intelligently required, not just for the sake of it. Sometimes, you don’t need nudity, excessive kissing, or any of that to tell a good story,” she said.

She gave an example, saying, “For instance, if a couple has been married for 10 years, you don’t need to start the scene by showing them in a sexual act.”
Although the actress acknowledged that her stance might be misunderstood, she clarified that she would only accept nude roles if they are “artistically required.”
“I don’t like that question because the answer is always taken out of context. This is the internet, after all. But I’ll say that I can do what is artistically required,” she added.
Kehinde Bankole first gained attention with her acting debut in the family drama ‘Super Story: Everything It Takes,’ where she played the character Caro. Since then, she has appeared in numerous Nollywood productions, including ‘Adire,’ ‘Sister,’ and ‘Funmilayo Ransome Kuti.’
Recently, she won the Best Actress award at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
