Employee Praised for Honesty After Returning $10,000 Found at Kano Airport
Auwal Dankode, an employee of Nigeria Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), has received praise for his integrity after he returned $10,000, roughly N16 million, that he found while cleaning an aircraft at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.
Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makaman shared the story on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday. Dankode discovered the money during his routine cleaning tasks and promptly reported it to the airline’s manager, which led to efforts to locate the rightful owner.
Zagazola highlighted that Dankode, from Kode in Kano State, is well-regarded for his strong faith and honesty. His actions exemplify how even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference.
