Reports have confirmed that Chelsea and Napoli have reached an agreement for Romelu Lukaku’s permanent transfer. Speculations about the transfer fee have been circulating on social media.
According to renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Napoli have agreed on a €45 million deal for Lukaku. This includes a €30 million permanent fee and an additional €15 million in performance-based add-ons.

Napoli had previously seen lower bids rejected, but negotiations between the two clubs progressed positively, leading to a compromise. The Serie A club reportedly met Chelsea’s asking price, with discussions shifting towards installment payments rather than a lump sum.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku has been training separately at Cobham with other players deemed surplus to requirements as his future is being sorted out. The 31-year-old striker scored just 15 goals in 44 appearances for Chelsea during the 2021-22 season but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Inter Milan and Roma. Lukaku is not interested in returning to play for Chelsea, and the club is keen to remove his contract from their payroll permanently.
