The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has arrived at the Force Headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory to respond to a police summons. He was joined by prominent human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), activist Deji Adeyanju, and a group of supportive workers.
The police had summoned Ajaero over accusations related to terrorism financing, allegations that both Ajaero and the NLC strongly deny.

Before heading to the Force Headquarters, members of the NLC gathered at the union’s headquarters on Thursday in a show of solidarity with their leader. As early as 8:00 AM, labor leaders began assembling to demonstrate their support.
Videos shared on the NLC’s official X account showed some leaders addressing the gathered workers, emphasizing their support for Ajaero.
The police invitation, issued last week, accuses Ajaero of terrorism financing, treasonable felony, and cybercrime.
