Southwest SUG Presidents Get a Boost: FG Launches Dynamic Leadership Training Program

The Federal Government, through the Office of the Senior Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Student Engagement, has successfully conducted a leadership development training program for selected Student Union Presidents in the Southwest region.

This initiative follows a similar program held for Student Union Presidents in North Central, facilitated by SSA to the President, Hon. Comrade Asefon Sunday Dayo.

In response to this development, Asefon emphasized the importance of such programs in shaping the future of the nation. Speaking to our correspondent after the event, he stated, “We wrapped up the second phase of our leadership development training for student union leaders from Nigerian tertiary institutions in the Southwest yesterday in Ado Ekiti. The session was impressive, with participants showing a strong commitment to self-improvement and effective leadership.”

He further praised the facilitators, especially Senior Comrade Oluwole Moleyin (aka Obesurutu), for his valuable insights and leadership experiences shared with the attendees. He also extended his gratitude to Hon. Gold Adedayo, the Commissioner of Youth Development in Ekiti State, who represented Governor Biodun Abayomi at the event.
