APC Suspends 20 Enugu Members Amid Party Crisis

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended 20 of its members in Enugu due to ongoing internal conflicts within the party. The suspension, announced by the faction led by Ugochukwu Agballah on Sunday, August 25, cites gross indiscipline and blatant violations of the party’s constitution as the reasons.

This action comes in response to a recent move by a rival faction, led by acting chairman Alphonsus Nwafor, which had previously suspended Agballah and other officials. In retaliation, Agballah’s faction decided to suspend all members involved in the dispute during a stakeholders’ meeting.

The decision was formalized in a communique read by Senator Utazi at the conclusion of the meeting.
